What is iHelpDesk?

iHelpDesk is a hosted help desk application that allows organizations to keep track of issues, reduce manual effort in resolving problems and improve service quality.

Do I need to install or download any software onto my computer?

No. This web-based application is centrally hosted and is accessible by all users with an Internet connection.

Can I install and run iHelpDesk server on my own machine?

If you do not want to use the hosted service, you can download and install it on your own machine.
Windows edition; Linux Edition.

Can I export/import data?

Yes. You can export data to your local machine. Exported data is in CSV format and it can be opened by Excel. The data can also be imported into hosted iHelpDesk service, or your own iHelpDesk server.

How does the free 30-day trial work?

The trial account has all the features during the 30-day trial period. No credit card is required. During the trial period, you can select a plan if you want to continue to use the service. After trial expires, if you don't choose a paid plan, your account will become the free account, which has fewer features than other plans. Free account may be disabled after 6 months idle time (no user login for 6 months).

Is my data safe and secured?

The security and integrity of your data is of highest priority to us.

All repositories and servers are hosted at Los Angeles and Montreal data centers. We provide multiple levels of backups and redundancy to ensure uptime and peace of mind. This includes:

High-speed, redundant storage
Secure off-site backups and snapshots
Internet connections can be encrypted using 128-bit SSL encryption for paid accounts. This is the same level of protection provided by banks and financial institutions around the world.

What happens to my data if iHelpdesk.com go out of business?

In the unlikely event we become insolvent, you will be given a full copy of your data. Most of the data is in CSV format and readable. You can also install iHelpDesk software on your own server, configure it and import the data, then you can continue to provide help desk service.

Can I change my plan?

Yes, you can change your plan at any time. If you choose to downgrade, some of the existing features will be removed or disabled.

What is an "Agent"?

A named login for service desk personnel and management. A support agent manages tickets and end users inside a customer.

Is it easy to cancel my account?

Yes. You can cancel your account at any time.

Are there any long term contracts?

No. After creating an account, you can delete your data and leave at any time. No questions asked.

What forms of payment are accepted?

We accept credit card payments through Mastercard, Visa and American Express.
